Snorkelling at Smith Barcadere Beach

 Smith Cove Beach

Located in the South Sound road , this beach must have witnessed many weekend parties! It is very popular beach and people like to spend their lazy weekends , relaxing evenings and late nights here . This beach is so calm and welcoming , I have seen people eating mangoes in the ocean water here !

There is lot of shade and picnic benches available to relax. Similar to a lagoon, this beach is covered by rocks and therefore offers amazing scenery. It is perfect spot to get a family photoshoot done.
The small corals can be spotted right as you enter your foot in the water. Tiny fishes would be moving around your feet and you wouldn't be able to sense them as they are very tactful. Put on the snorkel gear if you want to see colorful baby fishes with their mother fish ! It's such an emotional sight , watching them swim and feed along with other fishes.

Just 20 meters away from the shore there is a big rock which has beautiful coral underneath. It has big fishes of different colors and variety. This beach is one of our favorite spot for snorkeling.

I have captured a video tour of the coral for you all. Please support my blogs and YouTube channel "Reef and Trails" . Do like , share , subscribe and hit the bell icon :) Let me know in comments if you want to know anything else about Cayman Islands or snorkeling.
